This mood board represents the companies that may want to
advertise within my magazine. They are
based on the fact that my magazine will be about the musical industry and has a
female target audience with an age range of late teenagers. My target audience would clearly have to be
interested in theatre and may be in the theatre industry themselves. When choosing my advertisers I thought about
the life a typical reader would live and what they would be interested in. This led me to choose companies that are to
do with technology eg. Sony, Canon. They
would be interested in technology because they are young and growing up in an
age where technology dominates our living. Another aspect that older teenagers cannot
avoid is social media which is why Twitter and Facebook are suitable to
advertise in my magazine. Due to the
fact that my magazine is aimed at people that are interested in the theatre, you
can also see on my mood bored that theatre companies are there such as: Shake
the Dust, National Theatre, SYCO and Inside out. Brands are also displayed
based on readers travelling to theatres and other events, this is displayed by
a Travel Lodge logo as well as ticketmaster, the underground and Virgin. Being a magazine that is aimed at a female
audience, clothing shops would take a
massive part in the readers life which is why shops, such as Newlook, Jack Wills, ZARA and Missguided, are
displayed on my mood bored. I chose
these shops in particular as they are found on the high street and my magazine
is aimed at girls who come from a middle-class family so they are very
fashionable shops but not at huge prices.
As well as clothes being a factor in my readers live’s, accessories, jewellery,
and luxurious products would also be a factor as they would feel the need to
dress smartly when attending the theatre which is why bands such as Pandora,
Calvin Klein and Ted Baker are seen on this mood board. My readers would mostly be students which is
why fast food is very convenient for them while studying. This is why brands such as, Subway and SpudULike are on my mood board
(these are healthier options as someone in the theatre industry is usually
conscious about their health).
